The company’s core competence and specialisation is the design and facilitation of customised out-of-class- room experiential learning programmes. Over the last 7 years FSS has delivered programmes for both big and small businesses, government and non-governmental organisations. It is through its continual striving for excellence that FSS is able to have acquired its large client base.
Leon Mdiya, a social entrepreneur, has a passion for education, leadership development and entrepreneurship. In 2007 he decided to start the company when he noticed a gap in the market for Experiential Learning Programmes in the training and development space. Future Space Solutions not only fulfilled a need in the market, but it also gave Leon an opportunity of pursuing his passion for and love of designing and running leadership programmes for school teachers, managers and small business owners
He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Zululand, with majors in English and Education. His knowledge in the training and development field spans over 20 years.
He worked as a high school educator for couple of years, and thereafter ran a small Non-Governmental Organisa- tion based in the Inner City of Johannesburg. Upon leaving the NGO, Leon joined the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) as a programme manager. It is during this time that Leon gained valuable experience and insights to then venture independently into business.
